March 2010
The Longbarn Arlesford Hampshire.
Hampshire oak carpenters Ltd were proud to have been involved with the building of this magnificent green oak barn which is believed to be the largest green oak structure to be built in the area for more than a century.
The building is Longbarn’s new outlet.
Longbarn specialises in Lavender based products and offers a boutique plant nursery, Lavender collection and a variety of complementary wares for the home and garden.
The building process started in our framing yard in early February 2009 with the oak frame arriving on site in the beginning of May.
After the erection of the frame our on site management and construction team continued with the building process completing the project in mid November 2009.









August 2009
Breather felt then tile batons are in the process of being fixed. The roof will soon be tiled using Michelmersh handmade tiles.

July 2009
The warm roof insulation build up which is made up on top of the oak roof allowing full exposure of the oak timbers inside the building has been completed.
As the building is watertight the sandblasting to the upper timbers has been completed allowing for the Fermacel roof covering to be painted with Tudor red emulsion paint.
June 2009
Work just started on a new build Oak framed barn in Bishops Sutton near Arlseford Hampshire. Hampshire Oak Carpenters in conjunction with Michael Warren Associates of Winchester were asked to design and build a bespoke Oak framed building to complement the site.
The barn style building is for retail - commercial use due to open in November 2009.
